Many Paths ....... One Mountain Mahatma Gandhi

For those of you in the US, this is a long weekend … the last holiday of the summer, and many are traveling to favorite spots to enjoy the sun and celebrate with friends and family. Savor this time of togetherness and good times. Each day is a precious opportunity to choose joy … to consciously decide to see life from a positive perspective and create from that space. Take time to appreciate the things that are going well in your life … the people, the moments, the gifts you have received that you feel gratitude for.

When you find yourself having a positive moment, soak it in and then send that joy out into the world … to all those who need encouragement and support. Be a random source of joy … a smile millionaire.

Recently I spent a day hiking at a special secret spot here in Shasta, where natural hot springs bubble up from the earth … waterfalls cascade into deep clear pools perfect for soaking. This place is called Ney Springs. Trails lead deeper into the forest to a spot called Fairie Falls, which is named so because of the many nature spirits living there.

Blessed day to you all.

This week is especially auspicious for letting-go … releasing old programming that limits our expansion. You know the ones I am talking about … any negative beliefs about yourself, or about how things work. It does not require intensive probing … at this time energetically, all you have to do is relax and allow the old patterns to show themselves to you.

For example, if you are like most people, you can receive 20 compliments, extolling your positive qualities, and then you receive one bit of negativity, and it seems to have so much more power than the 20 positives … why is that?

Take a look inside at what beliefs you might hold that program you to take in deeply any negativity, while the positives simmer somewhere on the surface. There are powerful Collective Consciousness beliefs about this … consider the possibility that there is a Collective belief that the negative is the truth, and the only part that should be deeply embraced … why else would we allow ourselves to be so wounded by one small thing when 20 things of the opposite vibration don’t seem to remove the sting of the one?

At this point in time … it doesn’t really matter why or how we acquired these beliefs … we can use the litmus test of our emotional guidance system to tell us whether those beliefs are true or not.  To quote one of my favorite teachers: “If it feels yukky, it is yukky.” When you discover the programming behind repetitive, negative experiences … patterns in your life and the lives of others … now is the time to release those programs … now is the time to create new ones that pass the litmus test … ones that feel good.

I am celebrating the fact that at long last, the road to the higher meadows on the mountain have finally opened and the snow is almost gone. Last night I drove up Everitt Memorial Highway … past Bunny Flat, the spot where the gates close over the road until the snow melts … and on to the trail head to Upper Panther Meadow and the beautiful source spring.

It was nearly sundown when I arrived, and few people were around. The people I did encounter were as joyful as I was to be able to feel the presence of the meadow once again … little streams cascading over rocks … the grasses such a vivid green, and the ancient Heather beginning to bloom. This alpine Heather takes from 200-400 years to reach the height of 6 inches … it is an amazing and resilient being. The sacred spring … the place of emergence for local indigenous people is a place of deep peace and vibrant energy. As I sat on my favorite rock, watching the sunset, I marveled at how fortunate I am to be able to feel the earth beneath my bare feet, resounding with new life and high vibrations … and always, the peaks of Shasta and Shastina, looming in the background like guardians of this holy place.

Well, its been an interesting weekend. Astrological influences may have enhanced your ability to perceive Universal wisdom and download some new information, while at the same time, creating some edges in personal relationships. Make sure you remain open to receive expanded understandings, and if you feel the need to speak your truth, do it from the heart … include the heart in your words.

On a different note, we just heard that our radio station 12Radio (which has only been broadcasting for 6 months) is ranked among the top 400 of the 10,000 stations on Live 365 Internet radio … AND we have just been added to i-Tunes radio!  Whoo Hoo
