Many Paths ....... One Mountain Mahatma Gandhi

These are times of great transition … in the Collective and also within each of us.

There is a new dance. This is a dance of leaving the places that have held us for so long … and a dance of awakening life in the seeds of a new inner and outer world.

I have spent the past many months in relative seclusion, witnessing my own emergence into completely new perceptions … and moving beyond the markers that defined this world for me. One of the reasons I delayed writing to all of you is the fact that information coming to me expands and re-defines itself daily … sometimes hourly. I know many of you have had similar experiences with new dimensions of understanding morphing and changing almost before you can speak them to someone else.

Many wonderful souls have left or are leaving the planet … well, not really leaving, but moving beyond the physical “human” bodies into the … what shall we call it anyway? Its as if any label we assign is too confining. Let’s just say they are getting bigger

I have heard many questions regarding why some of these expansive, creative beings have encountered disease or suffering … and if they have, does that diminish what they brought to the world?

I say … there’s so much we don’t have context for … no perceptual markers that clearly explain things so everyone “gets it”.

In months past I shared with many of you the idea that dimensions are really ways of perceiving … and that the whole idea of vertical hierarchy in spirit is a 4th Dimensional perception. I have also shared some radical thoughts about standard Light Worker language that implies separation … and programmed beliefs that originate not just in religious dogma, but also in spiritual and metaphysical dogma as well.

Exploring the melting of these programs has given me new freedom … and I think its time for more of that freedom to spread among those of us who have been consciously following our spiritual expansion for years.

A wise woman friend of mine told me years ago that one day I would stop seeking “truth” from others (including those big ones with no bodies) and realize that my source of wisdom was my own spirit. I think she may have used the term “higher self” … no matter, it was what we had to work with then. See, I don’t believe in the vertical hierarchy model … it feels like separation, so I experience it something like the way Yogananda spoke of it long ago; “Center everywhere: Circumference nowhere”.

But what my friend said was very important, and I followed that thread a long time ago. I found the voice that is my own … some might call it my “God-self”. Labels are irrelevant.

What matters is the way it feels to realize that it is my reliable, constant source of wisdom.

There are many lovely streams of consciousness available to us 24/7 … and they are like friends in the 3-D. Beings of like mind, or frequency match, who love to commune with us about all manner of ideas and inspiration.

In my experience, this is what happens when I enjoy a recording of Esther Hicks talking with Abraham … or me talking with St. Germain or Archangel whomever … all of them are my friends … my peers in spirit. And that is the important distinction: they are my peers. In just the same way that we enjoy sitting in circle with close friends, and sharing ideas and questions … we can expand our clarity and understanding by sharing with the “spirit friends” we call by various names. They have what we have within us … they just help by holding the mirror of reflection so we can see or hear or sense it more vividly.

Terms we Light Workers are all too familiar with like, “just a vessel”, “humble servant”, “I just get out of the way and let Spirit … ”, “channeling” are concepts that imply there are some degrees of separation between you and Creator, God, Divine … whatever name you use.

I would invite you to consider that those are limiting beliefs that put an artificial space between something that cannot be divided.

If this Divinity is expressing itself as you, and me, and all life … how can you be less than Divinity?

It seems to me that an easy way to experience individuation and oneness at the same time is to drop the beliefs in any sort of implied separation. Then we get to dance the dance of creation both as a unique expression of God, and as part of an amazing array of unique expressions all belonging equally to one beautiful whole.

And by the way … if we can expand our language use beyond the 4th-Dimensional perceptions … we can also realize that without the illusion of vertical hierarchy, we don’t have to use terms like “Ascended Master” as if he or she has floated upward into some as yet unattainable dimension where we can only aspire to someday experience. Blech!

These are our Dear Ones … our friends in Spirit who communicate freely with us whenever we ask and allow ourselves to receive. Perhaps if we lose the “ascension” term we can more easily perceive that we are just getting bigger.

Its time to be the love that we are.

And one more point I would like to make: There is no cookie cutter method for spiritual expansion!

You don’t need anyone’s certification or training or badge, or uniform, or blessing, or talisman, or jewelry, or ceremony to be the love that you are.

The Beatles had it right decades ago: All You Need Is Love … and OMG! You already have that … so you already have what you need … what a concept!

Seriously … or, shall I say “Siriusly” for all you StarSeeds out there … Our religious, spiritual and metaphysical constructs have created oodles of complex systems of belief and structure that it would take lifetimes to traverse … and even if you make it to the end of the maze, there will be some sign on the gate that says “Go Back! You Have More Lessons! Do Not Pass Go and Do Not Collect $200!

Its so much like the Monopoly game though … winning it means others lose. Its just another example of the Scarcity Programs running rampant through the Collective Consciousness …

Why Can’t Everyone Win??????

Do you really believe that in the quantum field of energy that is continually expanding, there is scarcity?

And what about the energy we call Love

Take for example, the love you feel for your child if you are a parent. Do you really believe that at some point in time the tap of love will run dry? Yikes.

Scarcity … Fear … they are just wacky concepts we co-created and then perpetually replicated … we made them … we can make something that feels much sweeter.

All the ways we are experiencing scarcity and fear right now are just examples of the stories we keep writing … and they feel awful.

Its like being stuck forever in front of an old TV watching Alfred Hitchcock re-runs with no remote to change the channel. Or worse, having CNN implanted in your brain and never shutting down.

The relief we seek is within each of us. It takes some focus, I won’t lie to you … its a massive mop-up project for all of us to jump beyond the containment fields we have been living in, but the good news is that once you launch into determined choice to feel better forever, things will move at lightening speed.

You have to develop trust in what you innately know … believe the insights and messages you receive from your own “God Self” … or give it any name you want … just make sure its your name … your self talking with your Self until you realize there is only one Self and its really Big.

We are experiencing a time of great change, and with change our landmarks often disappear. I have talked to so many people over the past two months, who are watching old, familiar paradigms dissolve before their eyes.

Many of us are moving outside of linear time, as the habits, practices, daily routines, and cultural norms fall away. Knowing what day it is or what time it is seems less important, as we look at the more relevant questions … like, “How am I feeling?” “Is this thing I am doing, or this group I am a part of a harmonious experience, or is it feeling like a limitation?”

More people each day in the industrialized world, have the luxury of asking these questions … and more people are looking for inspiration rather than stability … expansion rather than predictability.

Some of the cultural norms that are disappearing have to do with old concepts about how we define ourselves in the third dimension. As we wake up to the fact that we are multi-dimensional, vibrational beings … we naturally discover that beliefs about choosing a lifetime career, or even a lifetime partner, may be far too limiting for people who are bursting with creativity and a longing for a better world.

The personal pursuit of “success” has now evolved into seeking personal expression in a way that prospers the self and others … creating collective expansion as well as individual achievement.

What creative gifts do you have that you have longed to express? How can those gifts benefit others? What limiting beliefs do you have about what is possible for you to create and how that creation might support and sustain you?

In America, we are taught to believe that we live in freedom … and compared to many places in the world, this is very true. Personal freedom though, is a different experience, and it would amaze you to realize just how many limitations we put on our freedom of expression every day. These are the limitations of beliefs … the boundaries of “no you can’t” …

You can write your life story; everyone does. The myth is that we are meant to jump inside each other’s stories and try to re-write the parts that don’t resonate. As long as you are living inside someone else’s story, you are limiting what you can create.

And if you, like most people believe that you have a right or a responsibility to jump into someone else’s story and try to contain it or control it … even with the best of intentions, you can never attain the peace and prosperity you desire.

In the next few months, we will be witness to many points of reference changing or disappearing altogether. This can be very disorienting, unless we recognize that it is the pause between two notes … the space between breaths, where creation is possible.

Watching the stories other people are creating can be very distracting. It is best to allow them their stories and focus on the creation of your own. Each moment is an opportunity. When we move our awareness outside of time, everything is in the eternal NOW.

This means creation is always possible. No matter what has happened before, outside of time there is no past, so there is always a way to expand from where you are.

I recently received the Mosoq Karpay ceremony from a Q’ero elder from Peru.

Thirty-three people came to Mt. Shasta for the Karpay and Community Despacho.

Don Humberto chose Shasta for this Karpay because of the balance between male and female energies in Mt. Shasta and Mt. Shastina, the two principle peaks here.

As we received this blessing that removes all filaments of connection with linear time and connects us to the 5th Sun, I realized that this is a time for all of us to be born anew. This is the time we have been waiting for, and we are the beings of light we have been seeking for so long.

The Q’ero say it is the time for us to become “Solar Heroes”. My friend Len Lobban, in Aberdeen Scotland says this is the time for us to remember our connection to the natural world and all the elements. The Hathors are saying this is the time to embrace curiosity and expect miracles.

I say that this Spring and Summer will bring great opportunities, portals opening that have never opened before … and some of them may not be noticed as opportunities unless we are willing to drop into innocence and curiosity again … becoming like children who expect positive outcomes.

We get to write our stories differently now … we can assume that we are capable of creating anything. We can say goodbye to the old beliefs that say “no you can’t” … “no you aren’t”. We can say goodbye to the dream-squashers and say hello to the possibility of personal and global expansion.

There is so much scientific research-based evidence of the existence of these possibilities now, that we have no “rational” excuse to deny it any longer.

Let’s become Solar Heroes. Let’s decide that we have freedom of expression and we have multi-dimensional gifts to give to the world. Say YES to your creative flow. Step up to who you want to be in the world. Find believing eyes and ears among your planetary brothers and sisters. Gather in groups of light-minded people and support each other’s dreams.

As paradigms and landmarks fade away, perhaps amid this chaos its a good time to say, “why not? what have I got to lose?”

Many of you have probably heard the buzz about the new astrological cycle that is upon us … and tomorrow we are stepping into the prelude of the dance as Mercury (the way we think) enter Aries (the Warrior) just three days before Uranus ( the revolutionary) arrives in Aries, impulsing us to break free of all our limiting ideas, beliefs and opinions.

This is the beginning of a significant 7 year cycle of expansion that includes not just our individual reality, but the collective … the entire world. We are seeing this playing out across the planet already, and there is more to come.

So how do we ride this wave of r(evolution) as the lightening bolt of Aries ignites our desires for a better world?

It begins within … It begins by allowing our resistance to be our inspiration. When we feel our angst flaring up in the face of the unwanted … we can consider our options.  Do we want to continue down the same old road of frustration and hopelessness … or can we practice expanding our perceptions just a little, or a lot … can we see things from a new perspective of inclusion and stop reacting from the limited third dimensional reality of right/wrong, good/bad?

Can we figure out how to say “yes” to what feels best and hold that focus long enough and with enough passion, to activate its manifestation in the 3-D?

Everyone has an opinion. Each individual has a unique perspective. This is a time for you to stand up and find your voice … to trust your intuition and release the fear of speaking your truth … and here is the challenge: at the same time that you are learning to love and honor and accept yourself fully, you will be offered the option of also doing the same for everyone else.

Can we live in reverence for our individuality AND develop a healthy respect for the fact that we are all ONE?

I challenge you … as I do myself … to live this Universal truth

It means learning to move from third dimensional duality/reaction perception, to fifth dimensional allowing and choice … and that is where true Creator Consciousness resides … in our fifth dimensional ability to be both a unique individual expression of Divine Consciousness AND unquestionably in unity with everyone else.

There are as many perceptions as there are people … and perceptions change constantly … even for each individual.

One of the things we are taught early in life … one of the “programs” that we adopt as a belief, is that the worthiness of our perception is based upon the opinion of others.

Parents teach us (as they have been taught) that the inherent value of our behavior is determined by their opinion of the behavior. We are rewarded when we please them and are ignored, or worse, punished when we displease them. This is carried over into our years at school and finally in our interactions at the workplace, in the families and friends we create as we move along the path of life.

So we begin to learn quite early to base our self evaluations on the opinions of others, rather than the crucial information we can receive from our own Inner Being … our source consciousness … our higher self.

This creates such rampant confusion, when we are looking to others for their agreement or disagreement with our perceptions … and basing our choices on their opinions … feeling bad when someone disagrees with the way we perceive anything.

Of course, if we remember that the purpose of our emotional body is … to be a guide to remind us when we are perceiving things in alignment with our Inner Being or not … then we would immediately realize that if someone disagrees and we feel bad … we are feeling bad because we are thinking that the other person’s opinion is determining the “right or wrong” of our perception, not because the other person is right and we are wrong … our emotions are simply reminding us that we are not paying attention to the only agreement that matters … the agreement between ourselves and our Inner Being.

I listened to Esther Hicks the other day, and heard Abraham saying, “We are interpreters of vibration …” and that is a very important point. We interpret vibrations through our senses, and then begin the process of labeling what we are interpreting as “good/bad, right/wrong, beautiful/ugly … and so on. We also interpret vibrations through our 6^th sense, or our clairsentience … we “feel” things and those things are sent through the usual channels of interpretation filed in our brains.

Everything we experience has a vibrational basis in this Universe of energy. So what is really being interpreted by anyone at any moment is vibration.

We all understand that each Human has unique qualities, such as our fingerprints … no two are alike. That should tell us something about the individual nature of our expression.

Just like our fingerprints, our perceptions are unique to us. There may be similarities shared with others, but ultimately the details of the perceptions are unique. If we can remember that, we can wrap our minds around the possibility that there is a purpose in this uniqueness … that we are meant to perceive things in our own way that is not dependent on the perceptions of others. The same is true for all of us … in other words; the differences between perceptions may be purposeful rather than annoying misunderstandings.

As an ER nurse, years ago I was taught about perception in an interesting way. The human heart has an electrical conduction system … these electrical waves of energy follow specific pathways in the healthy heart. Each segment of the pathway activates heart muscle movement, which activate valves opening and closing … heart rate, strength and coordination of specific muscles pumping the blood.

Some ingenious being figured out that if we could watch the energy moving through the heart … we could “see” areas of disease or dysfunction in the heart without cracking the chest open to watch the heart in action … thus was born the concept of electrocardiogram … something so common now, that we don’t think twice about how it works.

The way the ECG functions, is through the concept of perception … in order to get the whole picture about the heart and how it is working, we have to be able to “see” it from 12 different angles, or locations around the heart … so we place electrodes across the chest and on the limbs … and each electrode “sees” the heart from the perspective of where it is located, and it only “sees” that aspect of the heart … and it reports back to the brain or the computer of the ECG machine, which stores that information and waits until all of the electrodes have reported back their pictures or perceptions of the heart.

After all the perceptions have been recorded, the computer blends them together like the pieces of a puzzle until there is a whole picture and then and only then … it determines what the picture means … then it gives a diagnostic summary of findings for the physician to use.

If the physician took action based on one or two of the messages sent from the 12 electrodes, there could be a grievous error … so we wait to get the bigger picture, all the while knowing that each of the electrodes sees from a unique vantage point … and their information helps us to see the whole picture.

Perceptions of each human being are like the electrodes. Whatever we are observing, or even experiencing, is perceived according to our vantage point in relation to the thing we are observing.

Earth life is like a wheel … a circle, and we stand in a specific spot on that wheel, observing and perceiving what is in the center … (our focus). We move along the wheel during our life, and experience things from different spots along that wheel depending upon our life experiences, what we have observed, and what we have been taught to believe.

Imagine that you are perceiving something right now … perhaps it is what I am saying … or perhaps you are thinking about something else … whatever it is, you are having your own unique experience … your own vibrational interpretation is happening right now … and anyone else who is observing or experiencing the same thing is having their unique experience too … and their vibrational interpretation may be slightly different, or extremely different than yours.

So … who is right? Which interpretation is the correct one? … Imagine what you are observing or experiencing is in the center of a wheel … a circle of life … and you are standing somewhere on that circle, seeing the thing from that vantage point.

Remember that there will be a different interpretation from anywhere else on the circle … the “view” will be different.

You receive your unique perception … and then, rather than taking action based on that … perhaps you can gather more information … like the ECG computer … how do you get the messages from the other vantage points and untangle them from the filing system lodged in your mind that classifies them right or wrong?

Fortunately, while we are intentionally experiencing and creating from our unique vantage point from moment-to-moment … we also have an easy way to access the rest of the information, to help us “see” the bigger picture … the whole puzzle.

We exist in form (our human body) and non-form (our Source consciousness or Inner Being) simultaneously. I like the term “Inner Being”, because it does not suggest a hierarchy … like “higher self” sometimes does … it honors both experiences as equally important … a partnership of peers sharing a “human” experience in the third dimension.

Let’s say your Inner Being in non-form … has the ability to interpret vibration from a vantage point that is inclusive … it takes in what can be “seen” from each point along the wheel … it sees everything from a perspective of inclusiveness … and so does not categorize things as good/bad, right/wrong … but rather as pieces of the puzzle.

That can be very useful in avoiding distress in response to perceptions different from your own.

Let’s say you want to buy a used car that you have seen on craigslist. The ad includes two photos of the car … one shows the front and the other shows the left side view. Before you buy the car, you need more information. You could stick to your interpretation of the two photos … both of which look like the car is flawless … and you really want that car.

But what does it look like on the right side … the rear … the interior … are the seats intact … the headliner … does it have any body damage that is not showing in the two photos you can see?  Of course it would be much easier if you had someone take a picture of the car, then move a foot to the right and take another and repeat that over and over until the photos have completely circled the car and then gone inside the car and taken photos of the front and back and the floors and the headliner and the dashboard … you get the picture (no pun intended)

On the other hand … someone could take one picture of the small dent on the left fender and post that … you might think … oh, that car is damaged … I don’t want it … but you might never find out that the car has all the options you are looking for … low mileage, and is perfect in every other way … and the dent can be repaired easily for a very small fee … you might misinterpret the value of that car completely and miss a really good deal.

So there are two things to consider here that can make your life much sweeter:

I know this may sound simplistic … and it is supposed to be

. We have adopted beliefs that we have to measure our interpretations against (and I emphasize against … it is a resistant thought) … the interpretations of others … and that we must have agreement from others in order for our perceptions to be valued … this makes us nervous and defensive about our perceptions … and invites us to experience disagreement, or diversity as threatening … and react to it from our primal fight or flight mechanism … and feel fear or anger in response to the “disapproval” of others.

See … they are not really disapproving … they are suffering from the same beliefs and they are trying to find agreement and approval of their own unique perceptions in the same way. This is a lose/lose set up

Second, we have trained ourselves to believe that we can only make decisions and take actions based on our unique perceptions … and because of that belief … when we hear the disagreement … or the difference in perceptions from others … we feel negative emotions … we feel scared, mad, doubtful, annoyed, disgruntled, judgmental … and on and on … those icky nasty thoughts that we create in response to the differences of opinion, create the negative emotions that we feel … and we don’t understand what those emotions are telling us.

We believe the opinions and reactions of others are causing those emotions and we want relief so we think that those other people need to change their perceptions to match ours … or worse, that we have to change our own perceptions to match theirs … and we feel awful.

Why we feel awful … is not because of the differences … it is because we falsely believe the differences determine right and wrong … and when we think those thoughts … we are so out of alignment with the truth … the value of the diversity in giving the whole picture the unique vantage points and views …

Being out of alignment that triggers the distress … the emotional distress.

So when we find ourselves caught in that distress … how can we embrace our unique perception of the moment and also embrace the diversity?

Easy … we take a breath, and call on our Inner Being (you remember, the part of you that has all the vantage points simultaneously) and you ask your Inner Being … “how are you perceiving this thing in this moment?”

Your Inner Being will show you the bigger picture that allows you to have your unique perception and allows everyone else to do that too … It is like a magic elixir that takes you out of your false beliefs and into relief …

And there is more … when we play with the concept of inclusiveness without losing our unique expression, we can begin to see the way the circle of life holds us and supports us and connects us eternally … deeply … in the heart.

Sound Healing and Keynotes

In Hermetic Philosophy we were taught that there is a principle of correspondence that says: “As Above: So Below” and further that “All is in vibration” and “Everything flows”… and we have heard a lot about resonance lately … “that resonates … or that doesn’t resonate with me” …

What is resonance?  Resonance is the vibrational frequency … or the rate of movement at which an object most naturally vibrates when it is in a state of well being.

We can take it a bit further and say that every part of your physical body has its own unique resonant frequency and that the frequency will be altered in states of imbalance or disease.

Now, this idea of resonance is really wonderful, because it means that the vibrations of one being, if in resonance with another, can transmit its frequency to the other and activate, or reset the other’s frequency so that movement happens. So if for example, your physical body was experiencing disease or imbalance … your “symphony” might be really off key … not at all a reflection of your true vibration.

If a being of high and harmonic frequency reaches out to you, the resonance of that being with your true nature of wellness and joy might be activated once again, and the body brought back into balance. This is sometimes called “entrainment”, and sound waves have the ability to entrain with brainwaves to activate healing and altered states of consciousness.

Many people have channeled information from the Ascended Masters, Angels, and Elohim. A common thread that runs through these channelings has to do with the vibrational frequency and the harmonics of each individuation of consciousness that we think of as Ascended Master, Angel, or Elohim. They have a vibrational signature, just as we do, and you may be aware that many musicians and composers are channels for these beings of light … and much of the music that is created on the planet comes from these connections between  the form and the non-form. For many years, people have talked about a concept called “keynotes”. Keynotes are pieces of music that contain a vibrational frequency that is resonant with a being of light.

Tuning-in … becoming conscious of our connection to Mother Earth, helps us to restore balance and return to awareness of the rhythms of life on the planet … the cycles of creation, destruction, and rebirth.

The ancients knew that life is a wheel … and that the passage of time can be experienced as a wheel, with recurring cycles, predictable segments that we can align with and benefit from that alignment.

When we attune to the cycles of the seasons and the turning of the wheel of the year, we enhance our natural abilities, gifts, and resources. The cycles of the seasons are marked by sacred holy days … designed to remind us to be mindful of the gifts and opportunities offered by each place along the wheel.

In this moment, we are celebrating Samhain … the final harvest. We prepare for the coming Winter by reflecting back on the year that is passing … by feeling gratitude for all that we have received, and by practicing the art of allowing things that are no longer useful to fall away.

As the leaves turn, and Mother Nature paints her beautiful expression of endings, we can take comfort in that beauty as we also experience endings … releasing pain, old programs, relationships, situations and anything else that has served its purpose and is now ready to move back into potential for rebirth.

Making room for the new is an important aspect of Samhain season. We are entering the in between time … the old year is dying and the New Year is not ready to be born. This space between cycles is also a space between dimensions.

Many speak of this time as a moment when the veil lifts and we are able to perceive the presence of beings in other dimensions, including those who have left their Earthly bodies and traveled to the realm of non-form. Communing with loved ones who have crossed over is very easy during Samhain.

The element of fire is a symbol of this time. Ceremonies of release and transformation are particularly powerful now, and working with those intentions in the presence of fire amplifies and strengthens those intentions.

If we deliberately intend to move with the rhythms of the Earth during this time, we will find ourselves in the flow … moving with the currents of energy shifting on the planet … rather than struggling against the current.

Sometimes I find it difficult to let-go of Summer … especially here in Mt. Shasta, where the hiking season on the mountain is precious and short. As the leaves begin to turn, and the cold wind blows, I feel resistance … wanting to say “stop … just wait a little longer”, and when I do, the struggle is tangible … uncomfortable. People in town begin to speak of snow, and are hushed by the many who want to hold on to the cherished time when we can roam the mountain meadows and delight in the wonder of her magic.

After a while, I realize the beauty of the changing season … it is always the brilliance of Mother Earth’s palette that brings me back into alignment with the need to honor the cycles and move with the rhythms of change

. I count myself fortunate to live in a place where this brilliance is so evident … so close … and I wonder how my brothers and sisters in the cities are faring … what calls them into the rhythms and cycles … how are they moving with the seasons … and I wish that everyone could witness the stunning beauty of autumn …

This time between is the place of infinite possibilities … of living without limitations. Experiment with the idea that you can explore your dreams and visions outside of time … outside of habits of thought … you can dream yourself awake and live the dream.

The Luminous Seed within all of us is the template for embodying our Source Consciousness while we live on the Earth. This seed can be activated now … in this between time. We can create anything as we allow the new year to be born.

In the next few weeks, take time to go outside. Breathe the air and feel the subtle energies of change that move on the wind. Look at the world with Beginner’s Eyes … look for the beauty, in the natural world and in the eyes of your brothers and sisters … see the common threads that connect us all. Use this time of entry into multiple dimensions … really pay attention and see everything.

Breathe consciously this week … follow the rhythms of your breath and connect with the rhythms of the Earth.

If you have been hoping to connect with someone who has crossed over … there was never a better time.

Samhain is a doorway …one of the two great doorways of the Celtic year. In ancient times, the year was divided into the season of light and the season of darkness. Beltane, celebrated on May 1^st marked the season of light, and Samhain on November 1^st marked the beginning of the Celtic night.

In the dark night, came the whisperings of new beginnings … the stirring of the seeds buried beneath the ground.

In ancient Ireland, people traveled to the ceremonial centers of the tribes on Samhain for the greatest feast of the year. The Feast of Tara was celebrated at the royal seat of the High King … the heart of the sacred land … and the point of conception for the New Year. In all the households throughout the land, hearth fires were extinguished while the people waited for the Druids to light the new fire of the year on a hill twelve miles to the northwest of Tara.

The gods drew near to Earth at Samhain, so gifts were offered in thanksgiving for the harvest. Personal prayers held in talismans symbolizing the wishes of the supplicants were cast into the fire. Those wishing for healings cast objects into the fire that represented the illness to be healed.

At the end of the ceremonies, brands were lit from the great fire to re-kindle all the home fires of the tribes, as at Beltane. As they received the flame that symbolized this time of new beginnings, people focused on kindling new dreams, projects, and hopes for the year to come.

As we pass through the Day of the Dead, we can create celebrations of life for those who have crossed over. The in between time is the best time for our limiting beliefs to drop away, making it possible for us to experience the presence of our loved ones.

You can cook the foods they loved to eat … listen to music they enjoyed … decorate your homes with colors and light and symbols of eternal life … joy … celebration. Create an altar with photos of your loved ones … decorate with fall flowers, leaves, colorful candles and fruits.

This is a time to honor the presence of the other dimensional beings who are always with us … to communicate with them and give thanks for their eternal natures.

Winter on the Mountain is Beginning

Autumn Equinox

In the Northern Hemisphere, we are celebrating Autumn Equinox today. This is a time when balance is once again present, as the lengths of day and night are equal.

12 hours each, and as we focus on gratitude for the harvest, we can also tune-in to the frequency of balance … bringing our masculine and feminine aspects together … our worldly self and our higher self … our work life and personal life … all aspects of life can benefit by tapping in to the strong vibrations of balance on the planet today.

And as the sun enters Libra tonight, the sign of balance, peace, justice, we can take a moment to contemplate a more peaceful life, a more harmonious community, and a just and expansive world.

In the wee hours of the morning tomorrow, we greet the Harvest Moon … in the fiery sign of Aries, with a direct opposition to the Sun. This will activate the need for moving forward fearlessly … as the spiritual warrior is awakened. If you are procrastinating that next step toward realizing your dreams and goals … take it now, and ride the waves of the full Moon magic.

Whether you are in the Northern Hemisphere where autumn is painting the landscape, or in the Southern Hemisphere where spring is spreading its wings … go outside and take in the beauty of Earth Mother’s palette. There is nothing more centering, renewing and grounding, than taking a walk outside at the turn of the seasons. Walk slowly … in meditation, as if each step was the first you have ever taken in this incredible landscape.

Breathe in the air and allow yourself to remember things in your life that have gone well. Focus on those events, people, and situations that you can honestly see as blessings, big or small. Assuming the vibration of gratitude moves you into a receptive state of mind … one that allows you to receive even more blessings.

Life has been difficult for many people across the globe, and this is a time to look away from all of the stresses and problems that may be plaguing your life … and just for a moment, think of one thing that always makes you smile … always lifts your heart. Let that memory be the portal through which you can pass into relief … into allowing yourself to receive help, support, and guidance.
